You might question whether New Orleans actually needed another po-boy joint until you visit Kevin Parker's place in the 9th Ward.

Things are still slow-going in the surrounding neighborhood, but that didn't keep Parker from repairing the flood damage inflicted on the former Dolliole's Lounge. He takes the same care with his sandwiches that he did restoring the old bar and terrazzo floors, toasting all of the bread just before filling it with freshly fried seafood or, his specialty, roast beef cooked for 10 hours. You'll need extra napkins.
